Ekniti Nitithanprapas, director-general of the Revenue Department, is tipped to become the new chairman of THAI's board of directors soon, according to a source. The government will appoint Ekniti Nitithanprapas as chairman of the board of directors "soon", the person said, who declined to be identified as the matter was still confidential. Mr Ekniti currently heads the ministry's revenue department. Mr Ekniti, who headed the ministry's State Enterprise Policy Office from 2015 to 2018, will replace the acting chairman, ACM Treetod Sonjance. Thai Airways reported a net loss in 2017 and a 14% fall in net profit for January-March.
